12new business clients
Four-month campaign.
A focused ten-keyword campaign for an accounting practice.
For CPA firms, tax practices and bookkeepers
We work on the three things a prospect checks before calling a firm: your Google Business Profile, the service pages they read, and the links behind them, each one listed in your monthly report.

Where clients come from
A referred prospect searches your name before they call. A new prospect searches the service and the town. Either way, what they find in the first minute decides whether you hear from them.
The map results
Google says local results rest mainly on relevance, distance and prominence. You can't move your office, but you can make the profile complete, the categories right, the services listed and the reviews steady.
The service page
One "Services" page can't rank for individual returns, business returns, bookkeeping, payroll and IRS notices at once. Each service the firm wants more of gets a page written for the person searching it. The free firm review lists which of yours have none.
The name search
Credentials stated clearly, reviews answered with care, clear fees or fee approach, and a way to book. A referral who finds a thin site and an empty profile often calls the next name.
Read our guide to SEO for accountants for a practical look at service pages, local visibility and measuring inquiries.
All four plans cover your Google Business Profile, citations built and cleaned up, and review requests. Month to month, cancel by email.

The work, in order
Keywords by service and client type: individual returns, business returns, bookkeeping clean-up, monthly accounting, payroll, advisory, IRS letters. We leave out the searches that only bring $99-return shoppers unless you want them.
Categories, services, description, hours (including season hours), appointment link and photos, all within Google's guidelines: no keywords stuffed into the name, no virtual-office address.
Your name, address and phone the same everywhere that lists firms: data aggregators, local directories, associations and software partner directories. Old addresses after a move or a merger get fixed first.
On-page fixes on the pages you have, and a plan for the ones you don't. Growing Practice and above include an on-page audit and a content gap review against the firms that rank. The free review starts this list for you.
Guest posts on real sites (DA 20+), Web 2.0 pages (DA 50+) and amplification links behind them. Volumes depend on the plan; every one is listed.
One request to every client at the same point (after the return is delivered or the first clean month-end), no incentives, no filtering out unhappy clients, and replies that never confirm who is a client.
Each month: every link with its URL, target page and anchor text, keyword positions, profile actions, and what's next.

Tick-mark legend
Standards that shape the copy
Your marketing is held to rules most agencies have never read. We write inside them, and you approve every page, because under the AICPA code what a marketer does for you counts as what you did.
AICPA Code 1.600
No advertising that is false, misleading or deceptive, including anything that creates false or unjustified expectations of favorable results or implies influence with a court or regulator. Paragraph 1.600.010 adds that members must not do through others what they can't do themselves.
Circular 230, 10.30
No false, misleading or coercive statements. Enrolled agents may not call themselves "certified" or imply IRS employment; "enrolled to practice before the Internal Revenue Service" is one of the allowed descriptions. We use it in titles, profiles and bios.
Reg. 301.7216
Tax return information can't be used or disclosed without the taxpayer's written consent, and consent for solicitations must name each product or service. We never touch return data, and we flag any list built from it.
FTC Part 465 and Google's review policy
No fake reviews, no suppression, no incentives, no asking only happy clients. Review replies never confirm that someone is a client or mention their return.
We are a marketing service, not your counsel, and state boards have rules of their own. Read the accounting firm marketing guide for how these rules play out across channels.

Timing
Rankings build over months, and the months that matter most to a tax practice are January to April. So the useful question isn't how fast, it's when to begin.
| Months | Work |
|---|---|
| May-Aug | Build: service pages, profile rebuild, citations, the first links |
| Sep-Oct | Extension season pages, reviews from spring clients, more links |
| Nov-Dec | Season hours, intake and booking ready, planning content |
| Jan-Apr | Answer reviews, keep the profile current, note every question |
Google's own guidance warns that no one can guarantee a #1 ranking, and we don't. What we can show is the work, traced month by month. If you are reading this in December, profile and site fixes still help this season; rankings for contested terms will mostly arrive for the next one.
The tax-season capacity planner works out how many new returns you can still take, and the client value calculator shows how many clients a plan needs to pay for itself.
Plan the timing in a meetingOur accounting search guide explains service-page priorities, seasonal planning and how to judge the results.
Find my search opportunitiesOur four plans run $125, $235, $325 and $575 a month, or $140 to $620 as a one-time project. Every plan includes Google Business Profile, citation and review work; the tiers differ in keywords, links and extras. For a single-office practice, Sole Practitioner or Growing Practice is usually the right size. Nothing is billed before you approve the fit.
Profile and site fixes take effect in weeks, but rankings usually build over months, and contested city searches take longer than niche ones. A new domain, few reviews or thin service pages slow things down. Nobody can promise a position: Google itself says no one can guarantee a #1 ranking. We show progress line by line every month instead.
We may. We work with more than one business in the same area or field, and we say so up front rather than promise exclusivity. Your reports, keyword plans, logins and data are never shared with anyone else, and no other client ever sees what we do for you.
A line for every link we built that month: its live URL, the page on your site it points to and the anchor text. Then keyword positions for your target terms, the Google Business Profile work done, and what comes next. Read it like a reconciliation: what the plan promised, what was delivered, what changed.
We write to them: no promised outcomes, no implied influence with the IRS or any regulator, no fee claims that would mislead, and enrolled agents described only in the wording Circular 230 allows. You approve every page before it goes live, because the AICPA rule makes a third party's claims yours. We are not your counsel; your state board may add rules.
Our own team, which has done SEO since 2009 and served 15,000+ clients. You deal with the same people by email, and every question gets an answer within one business day. Our results include a small CPA firm and a tax preparation practice.
Yes. Every plan is month to month with no contract term. Cancel by email before the next cycle and nothing further is billed. The links already built stay where they are, and the pages and profile work on your own site and Google profile stay yours.
Guest posts are articles placed on real websites through outreach, Web 2.0s are pages we publish on high-authority platforms, and amplification links point at those, never at your site. Every one is listed in the report so you can open it yourself. Higher plans add a toxic link check on your existing profile.
No. We need access to your website and Google Business Profile, nothing that holds client records. We never ask for tax return information, and our review requests never use it. If your newsletter list was built from return data, Reg. 301.7216 consent rules apply before any marketing use.
Monthly SEO starts at $125 for Sole Practitioner. You can also choose a single month at the listed one-time price. There is no setup fee or minimum contract term. To stop a monthly plan, email before the next billing cycle. We confirm the scope and send a payment link before work starts.
Allow months to evaluate search progress, especially for a new website or a competitive city. Fixes and deliverables appear in the report before they necessarily produce new inquiries. We cannot guarantee a position, a client count or revenue. Together we choose the services and searches worth tracking so the review reflects your practice priorities.
The Accountant SEO team handles the campaign and answers questions by email or a requested meeting. We confirm the scope before payment and send a monthly report with the activity and live links. Tell us which partner or practice manager should receive updates so reporting reaches the person making marketing decisions.
We do not promise exclusive coverage of a city. Ask about competing services and markets before engaging us so we can discuss any overlap and the proposed scope. Your firm should choose its own service priorities and positioning; another practice may be pursuing different clients, but that distinction needs to be assessed rather than assumed.
The scope has to match the competition and your priorities. Sole Practitioner can suit a focused start; Growing Practice adds an on-page audit and content gap review. Established Firm and Regional Firm support broader keyword sets and competitor analysis. We review your site and market before recommending a tier. No package guarantees a ranking or a number of clients.
Clear service information still helps a prospect understand what you offer. We focus on accurate pages, a suitable local profile and a clear inquiry route. Search features change, so we assess visibility alongside relevant inquiries rather than promising placement inside a particular AI answer.
Guest posts are outreach placements on sites the agency does not own. The plan table separates guest posts, Web 2.0 pages and amplification links. Reports identify the live URLs so you can inspect the activity. A placement does not guarantee a Google ranking.
