Our working approach

Search support for the practice you want to build

Your services, capacity and clients shape the campaign. Our team brings SEO experience dating to 2009 and a process you can follow in writing.

Search marketing that fits a practice's workload

An accounting firm can have a full calendar and still want different work. Perhaps individual returns fill March while recurring bookkeeping would make the rest of the year more predictable. Perhaps referrals arrive steadily, but a prospective business client finds little about your advisory service when they check the website. Those are different marketing problems. We begin by understanding which one you need to solve.

Accountant SEO Company provides search marketing for CPA firms, enrolled agents, bookkeepers and tax practices. The team has worked in SEO since 2009, serving more than 15,000 clients across different businesses. That experience informs the process; your own practice determines the priorities. We do not assume that the largest package is the right starting point or that every inquiry is equally useful.

The first conversation becomes a written scope

Tell us which services you want to grow, where you serve clients and what your team can currently accept. A small practice may need more monthly accounting engagements. Another may be preparing for a second location or trying to make a specialist service easier to find. We also ask about the website and the person who approves changes, so the plan reflects what can actually be delivered.

The free firm review gives you a written starting point. We look at the website, the Google Business Profile where applicable and the firms appearing for relevant searches. The response identifies initial priorities and a suitable next step. You can assess it by email or request a meeting. You do not need to send tax records, client lists or confidential engagement documents for a marketing review.

A keyword map before a long task list

The keyword map connects a search to a service and a page. It helps distinguish someone seeking an individual return from an owner looking for monthly bookkeeping or a business preparing to change accountants. If two services answer substantially different questions, they may need distinct pages. If several phrases describe the same need, one useful page may be enough.

We compare that map with the current site before recommending new content. Existing pages may need clearer service descriptions, a better contact route or links from related material. The purpose is to make a prospect's path coherent. It is not to create a separate page for every slight wording change. Your firm approves statements about credentials, the work it accepts and the way it serves clients.

What happens in the first month

The starting tasks depend on the agreed scope and the condition of the site. Google Business Profile work, citation building and cleanup, and review work are included in every SEO plan. The keyword and link quantities vary by tier. Higher tiers add the research and audits shown in the comparison table. We explain which of those differences matters for the services you want found.

Some changes require access or approval from your practice. Keep the domain, website and business accounts under your own control, and give access appropriate to the task. If a page describes a regulated professional service, someone at the firm should review its accuracy before publication. We keep the marketing conversation focused on public business information rather than material from a client file.

Reading the monthly report

A report should let you inspect the activity behind the fee. Our link reporting identifies live URLs, their destination pages and anchor text. Keyword movement adds another view of progress. These records let you ask specific questions: whether the destination supports the intended service, whether a placement is live and whether the search terms still reflect the engagements you want.

A ranking change does not tell the whole business story. Your intake notes can help distinguish a suitable inquiry from an existing client's portal question or a request you cannot accept. Discuss those patterns with us. We can use them to reconsider priorities without turning every small month-to-month movement into a claim of success or failure. Search performance takes time and varies with the market.

Guest posts use outreach placements on websites the agency does not own. The package table states the quantities and other link types included at each level. We keep the terminology visible so you can distinguish a guest post from a Web 2.0 page or an amplification link, rather than treating different deliverables as interchangeable. The definitions sit beside the pricing comparison.

We do not offer a guaranteed position in search results. If your firm has restrictions on external placement or the wording of its public claims, raise those before an engagement starts. A practice should understand the proposed scope and be comfortable with it, including how reporting and questions will be handled.

The boundaries that protect your firm's reputation

We decline fabricated reviews, invented offices, misleading credentials and promises about client outcomes. Reviews should reflect real experiences. Responses should stay general and avoid revealing confidential information. A practice's professional obligations remain relevant when a third party helps write its marketing. Your qualified advisers should resolve legal or professional questions; our role is the marketing service.

We also avoid treating busyness as proof of growth. If the calendar is full, bringing in more of the same inquiries can make the problem worse. It may be more useful to clarify which engagements are available, improve the explanation of a specialist service or prepare content for the next season. Capacity belongs in the scope discussion alongside visibility and budget.

Ownership, communication and cancellation

Your domain and business accounts remain yours. Keep your own administrator access and a record of changes. Content commissioned for your website belongs with the practice's working materials; do not make the agency the only place where those materials can be found. Third-party websites control their own pages, so a link report should not be mistaken for a promise that every external page will remain unchanged forever.

We handle questions by email and scheduled meetings. A person responds within one business day. Monthly plans run month to month; cancel by email before the next cycle. A one-month option is also available without a subscription. The engagement form collects a request, not a card payment. We confirm the fit and email the payment link or, for a website project, a written quote.

We may serve competing practices in the same area. Each firm's information and campaign stay separate, and we do not sell exclusivity. If that arrangement does not fit your requirements, it is better to resolve it before work starts. You can compare the current plans, read the accounting campaign results or ask us to review your firm.

What clients value in the relationship

A client on finding the right inquiries

"Our CPA firm finally ranks for the terms that matter. Steady client inquiries every month."
Greg Halvorsen, 5/5

A client on finding the right inquiries

"We'd tried two generalist agencies before this one, and neither understood accounting. These folks did; they knew the difference between bookkeeping, tax prep, and advisory searches, and they built the strategy around the services we actually want more of. Within five months we were on page one for six high-intent terms, and the inquiries are qualified, not tire-kickers. Our advisory revenue is up 34% year over year and I credit this team directly."
Patricia Lund, 5/5
